Meet Cindy
From my time as a camp counselor in the mountains, I have been supporting children, adults and families as they grow into their most confident selves.
As a camp counselor I guided children, some who had never been in the woods, to climb a mountain, learn to swim, experience nature, develop lifelong friendships and explore who they were in relation to themselves, their community, their faith and their world. Through this rich experience I realized it was guiding and helping children and ultimately people that I loved and wanted to do for the rest of my life. I am passionate about helping everyone who crosses my path to be the best person they can be. I have continued this through my school teaching and counseling and private practice experiences.
In my 40’s I returned to school to pursue my Masters in Clinical Psychology and became a Clinical Psychotherapist. My practice and I have grown over the years. I continue to guide others to open their hearts, finding their strength within. I also teach a variety of therapies to other counselors. I supervise therapists individually and in groups and have been presenting at professional workshops since the 1980’s.
Through my own life lessons, trauma and grief, I found support in my family and friends and know how important relationships are to our healing. I find great joy in leading others to discover themselves and develop those strong relationships. I am grateful for my two children. My adult son has been my guide as I have learned all life has to teach through this most important relationship. My daughter, who passed away suddenly at the age of 11, has taught me about control, faith and my emotional body.
